What I'd like to see here is some advice on how to cope emotionally with this truth bomb! I'm part of the Deep Adaptation network, where we figured out a while back that we can't fix the climate crisis (without a HUGE systemic change that just seems too big, too much, too much corruption) and so we need to look at how to adapt... whether that means to adapt to the new situation we'll find ourselves in (collapse) or to adapt psychologically to our impeding demise.
My path is to help people figure this out. I like to keep one plate of hope spinning, because structural changes definitely don't happen when we all give up and wait for the apocalypse. At the same time, building local resilience is probably the best thing we can really do - so find out what your community is doing towards climate change predictions. How they'll feed themselves when there's no oil and crops start failing. How they're going to settle conflicts and social unrest. No plan? Yeah, that's no surprise. Perhaps you can be the person who tries to get people to realise that they need to start planning now before it's too late. If that doesn't work, my plan is to join an eco-village / community. To be honest, it's hard to know whether that would really help us survive (if angry mobs come to steal the food, for example) but it would at least be a nicer way to spend my final days.
I really recommend looking into Joanna Macy's Work that Reconnects if you're looking for a more emotional and spiritual way to face this crisis. From allowing you to really experience and explore your emotions without trying to rush to solutions, to connecting with your imagination and inner wisdom, I find it an invaluable tool for these dark times. Come look at what I'm doing on my own page/website if you want to find out more. I can't promise any solutions, but I do know that we need to do better if we want to get through this somehow - even if the best we can hope for is a peaceful, beautiful ending to the human story where we leave this realm knowing that the earth will heal and regenerate in ways we can't imagine.
